A nice warm Friday afternoon was the scene for this years opening round at Little Meadows. Defending champion Michael took on 2 chumps by the names of Pasha and Dane. They were no match for the champ, who won the opener by 3 strokes.
Michael: out 22 in 26 total 48
Pasha: out 23 in 28 total 51
Dane: out 30 in 28 total 58
Ill put up stats like last year eventually.
Not that im surprised, i said from the begining that Edmonton wouldn’t beat Carolina in the finals. Edmonton played like crap, they just couldn’t contain the onslaught from the faster and superior Hurricanes. Now all you bandwagon Edmonton fans can shut the hell up and realise how bad they are.
Miami and Dallas face off tonight, with Miami up 3-2 in the series, they have a good chance of finishing off Dallas tonight. I hope Miami wins, its just wrong for a basketball team whos superstar is WHITE to win, unless it was Nash, then it would be ok.
In World Cups news, so far only 4 teams are locked into the next round with opponents. Germany (3-0-0/9pts) will be facing off against Sweden(1-2-0/5pts) and England(2-1-0/7pts) against Ecudaor(2-0-1/6pts).
So Carolina finished off Buffalo and will be taking on Edmonton in the NHL finals. Over in the NBA world the Mavericks finished off the Suns to face the Heat in the NBA finals. Sad to think only a few more games before all you have to watch on T.V. is baseball. I still hate Edmonton, so im putting my money on Carolina to take the cup home this year. I had hoped that the Suns would have made it into the finals against the Heat, so im gonna have to say the Heat will destroy the Mavericks.

Well apart from the Oilers – Sharks series, the rest of the conference semifinals ended pretty damn quick. Im sure we’re all still stunned that Ottawa got knocked out, Im still stunned that the Red Wings didn’t beat the Oilers. So anyways, here’s the next round…

Id like to say i want Edmonton to get through so a canadian team has the chance of winning, but i cant stand Edmonton, so screw them!
Well, it would seem some of my picks to make it to the second round didn’t quite pan out .. Oh well. Who honestly expected Edmonton to beat Detroit, stupid comeback team. Dallas was a big let down, Turco might be an amazing goalie during the season, but he is not a playoff goalie. So round 2 is as follows …

This coming friday the playoffs begin. Sadly the Canucks did not make it, not that they even played well enough to deserve to get in, but whatever. The teams in BOLD are the teams i think will make it into next round, but who knows, maybe we’ll see another underdog come out of nowhere.
